Does everything I need, and the UI is slicker than LastPass. I have several accounts on various sites and BitWarden makes this easy.

This was a great extension, up until they added passkey support and enabled it by default -- Learn this lesson: If you're going to introduce a feature that will in ANY WAY alter the way the user interacts with your software, make it OPT IN, not opt out. You are pissing off people because we're all using your software to save time and move fast -- if you break our workflows, and the way we have gotten used to swiftly get from place to place, then your software has become the opposite of useful.

"This was a 5 star extension until the latest version removed ALL of the lock features from the settings menu. Now there is no way to LOCK the extension without powering off your Chromebook. It seems the developers feel this SECURITY APP requires less security! What an incredibly stupid move!!! Looks like it's time to find a different password locker app."
With the introduction of account switching feature in version 2024.1.0 of the browser extension the "Lock" and "Log out" functions were moved from the Settings page to the Switch Accounts page menu which are accessed by clicking the small round button in the upper right corner of the browser extension window. IMO, is a much more convenient location.

OK so I am another EX LastPass user and I am complaining about the problems of Bitwarden first, I am not saying any other password manager is better, i have only used 2. However, I have so many duplicates in my vault that obviously, Bitwarden is not doing a good job of saving my passwords when I create new ones, or login to sites. I don't need the SAVE to save a whole new login, just USE ONE for each username, and save everything under this one login, what I suggest is to save the history of passwords also, and whenever I generate a new password, if I don't save it into the clipboard its gone/ I have this problem also the damn generated passwords don't get saved and I cant find them when trying to login again

I have been using BitWarden for going on three years now. Everything was fine until yesterday. I wanted to check out the Chrome Beta and switched over to it. During that process I reinstalled the Chrome Extension. Now, every time I need a password I must enter my master password. There's no option to use the Windows Hello for biometric validation. I have scoured the extension settings, the desktop app settings, and the web settings. No luck. I understand the need for security and leave my vault unlocked for an hour normally when I'm using my tablet. I have a paid subscription too. I like the new way the extension provides the choice of passwords for a site as a kind of drop down from the site's username signon. But if I have to enter my master password EVERY TIME, it kind of defeats the purpose. I like that if I am super security conscious I could set the extension for a shorter time so if there were an issue, it would be on me for leaving it unlocked for such a long time. When this problem is resolved I'll restore my five star rating. Until then...
On a different note, I'm not sure how this might be overcome but when I try to auto-fill my identity information I notice the state doesn't want to auto-fill when it is a drop down list on the site's page. Perhaps the BW extension doesn't know how to reconcile my state abbreviation with the long name of the state (as found in the drop downs)? Another challenge to overcome concerns entering new or changing an old password on a web site. It would seem that BW doesn't recognize the "confirm password" entry all the time. I find it wants to put my username in one and the password in the other. I think it would be really cool if BW assisted during any change password process by recognizing the "Old Password" prompt and insert that current password there. And then offer to generate a new password for the two new password in their respective boxes. And, if BW were REALLY good, it would recognize that the password change was accepted by the site and verify with the user to update the old password with the new one.
That's just my thoughts and complaints.

Started causing issues with my hardware keys. I have to disable this extension for the Chrome hardware access token popup to show. Found an option to disable passkey feature, but It would be better if the extension just fallback to browser popup if no passkeys are configured for the domain.

Another LastPass refugee here. Took me awhile to switch over to another password manager and Bitwarden has been working out fine so far. I find it less cluttered and easier to use than LassPass. Hopefully the free version will continue to work well for me. If it does, I will move on to the paid version. If it doesn't, I'll move on to another manager.
